What that means in practice

The tours listed here are sold by Viator and GetYourGuide. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator's price, not a marked-up one.

What we are not

We are not a tour operator. We do not run any of these tours, employ any of these guides or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.

We have no connection with any venue, winery, park, market, ferry company or visitor centre in South Australia, or with any of the businesses these tours stop at.

How tours get listed

Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. The badges are arithmetic: the best seller is the one with the most reviews, the top-rated tour carries a 5.0 across the most reviews of any 5.0 listing, and the best value is the lowest fare. Where one operator sells the same day on both platforms, both can appear, because both are separately bookable.

The featured tours at the top of the homepage are three different ways to spend a day — an all-in Barossa wine day, Kangaroo Island by coach and ferry, and a walk through the city — each for a different kind of traveller, and each starting somewhere different.

Prices, ratings and how current they are

Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were read from their own listings on 17 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Everything is quoted in US dollars because that is the currency the listings were captured in; nothing is converted at an exchange rate. Every fare is per person except the private Barossa day, which is sold per group of up to four.

Where we state a fact about the city, it comes from its source: the Bureau of Meteorology's Adelaide and Kingscote stations (bom.gov.au), Adelaide Central Market (adelaidecentralmarket.com.au), Cleland Wildlife Park, run by National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia (clelandwildlifepark.sa.gov.au), and the City of Adelaide (cityofadelaide.com.au), with the city's founding date, Colonel Light's plan and the site of Parliament House from its Wikipedia entry. Kangaroo Island, Mount Lofty Summit and the wine regions come from National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia (parks.sa.gov.au and sealbay.sa.gov.au), the island's tourism body (tourkangarooisland.com.au), Hahndorf's own directory (hahndorfsa.org.au), Tourism Australia, the South Australian Tourism Commission (southaustralia.com), Adelaide Hills Wine, the McLaren Vale Grape Wine & Tourism Association and the wineries themselves. South Australia's drink-driving limit comes from the Legal Services Commission of South Australia (lsc.sa.gov.au). The city's galleries, museum, library, garden, arcade and stadium are quoted from their own websites, Government House from the Governor's office (governor.sa.gov.au), and Glenelg's tram from the City of Holdfast Bay. Where a detail comes from an operator's listing, such as a pickup time, a group size or an age limit, it belongs to that tour.

What we deliberately do not publish

• The Kangaroo Island ferry fare. The ferry company sets it; we give only the 45-minute crossing time the island's tourism body publishes.
• Park and stadium entry prices for Kangaroo Island's parks, Cleland Wildlife Park and Adelaide Oval's tours, which each venue sets and changes.
• The Visitor Information Centre's opening hours, until read on the City of Adelaide's own page.
• Tram, bus and train timetables and fares, which belong to the agency that sets them.
• Festival dates for 2027, until each is announced by its organiser.
• Cellar-door tasting-fee amounts on the days that leave tastings to you. They are set by each winery and change without notice.
